Darude - Sandstorm

Buongiorno amici! Chiudiamo questa ottima settimana insieme con un ulteriore incremento in energia grazie alla grande musica degli Anni 90, un periodo che ha visto negli anni affacciarsi sulla scena Dance numerosi generi e stili, passando dalla House più melodica e raffinata sino a brani Trance con protagonisti alti BPM e le sonorità più elettroniche... Il brano di oggi direi che fa parte di quest'ultima categoria, e si tratta di un un brano dotato di grande carica e con una linea melodica davvero indovinata che fu la chiave del suo successo... Il brano della Sveglia Dance di oggi è infatti Sandstorm di Darude!

Uscita alla fine del 1999, Sandstorm fu il primo singolo in assoluto realizzato da questo DJ e Produttore musicale Finlandese e ottenne un immediato grande successo, piazzandosi per molte settimane ai vertici delle classifiche in madrepatria, per poi arrivare molto in alto anche nel Regno Unito, diventando il singolo più venduto dell'anno 2000. La carriera di Darude è ovviamente poi proseguita con la produzione di un album ed altri lavori susseguenti, ottenendo alterne fortune, ma questo primo singolo è sicuramente quello per cui sarà sempre ricordato... Un brano energetico e "scattante" come il video che ben lo rappresenta, che mi sembra perfetto per chiudere bene questa settimana di Sveglia Dance e anche il mese di Marzo! Buon Venerdì e Buon Weekend, amici... appuntamento alla prossima settimana! Good morning friends! Let's close this great week together with a further increase in energy thanks to the great music of 90's, a period that has seen facing in through years numerous genres and styles on the Dance scene, going from the more melodic and refined House tracks to the harder Trance songs, having as protagonist high BPMs and electronic sounds ... today's song I would say that is part of the latter category, and it is a song with a great charge and with a really centered melodic line that was the key to its success ... the song of today's Dance Wakeup is indeed Darude's Sandstorm!
Released at the end of 1999, Sandstorm was the first single ever produced by this Finnish DJ and Music Producer and was an immediate success, peaking for many weeks at the top of the charts in motherland, then getting up very high in the UK and becoming the biggest selling single of 2000. Darude's career is of course continued with the production of an album and other subsequent works, achieving alternate successes, but this first single is definitely the one that will be ever  remembered... a song full of energy and "agile" as the video that well represents it, which I think is perfect for closing up this Dance Wakeup week and also the month of March!
