Spiller - Groovejet (If This Ain't Love)

Eccomi di ritorno per il consueto appuntamento con la Sveglia Dance del mattino e per farmi perdonare l'assenza di ieri vi propongo un brano fantastico che ha ottenuto nel 2000 un successo di livello mondiale, permettendogli di rientrare a pieno titolo tra i "grandi classici" della musica House di sempre... Di cosa o chi sto parlando? Ma di Spiller e della sua Groovejet (If This Ain't Love)!
Brano prodotto in questa ultima versione cantata, come dicevo, nel 2000, ha in realtà origini risalenti al 1996, quando il  suo autore, il bravo DJ e Producer Veneziano Cristiano Spiller elaborò per la prima volta il magico "loop" su cui si basa il brano, che venne poi incluso in una versione puramente strumentale nel suo EP del 1999 Mighty Miami. Ma questo brano poteva salire ancora di più e con la realizzazione di questa versione, che ha dato risalto alla  bellissima voce di Sophie Ellis-Bextor, ai tempi agli inizi della sua carriera solista, ha ottenuto un successo davvero mondiale, vendendo 2 milioni di copie nello stesso anno e diventando uno dei dischi con più passaggi in radio nella decade 2000 - 2010... Here I am back to the usual mornig appointment with my Dance Wakeup, and to forgive me for yesterday's absence, I propose today a fantastic song that has obtained in 2000 a worldwide success, allowing to be included as one of the House music "classics" ever... what or who I'm talking about? But of couse of Spiller and his Groovejet (If This Ain't Love)! Song produced in this latest sung version, as I said, in 2000, had origins dating back to 1996, when its author, the talented Venice-based DJ and Producer Cristiano Spiller worked out for the first time the magic "loop" on which this song is based, song which was later included in a purely instrumental version in his 1999 EP Mighty Miami. But this masterpeice could rise even more, and with the making of this version, which gave prominence to the beautiful voice of Sophie Ellis-Bextor, at the time at the beginning of her solo career, has achieved a truly global success, selling 2 million copies in the same year and becoming one of the tracks with more radio plays in the decade 2000 - 2010 ... not bad I'd say!
