Deadmau5 - The Veldt

Buongiorno amici! Proseguiamo questa settimana di Sveglia Dance con uno dei miei artisti preferiti, direi quello che ha fatto riaffiorare una decina di anni fa la mia passione per la musica Dance ed Elettronica, che avevo da molti anni messo da parte... Lui é sicuramente da annoverare tra i Top-Producers mondiali e lo si riconosce immediatamente per la sua ipertecnologica maschera da topo che usa durante i suoi live shows... Sto parlando naturalmente del Canadese Deadmau5 (si pronuncia deadmaus) di cui ascoltiamo oggi la sua bellissima The Veldt!

Come dicevo, seguo Deadmau5 ormai da molti anni, e ho apprezzato quindi il suo cambiamento stilistico partito da una Electro-House molto minimale e ruvida verso la ricerca di un sound differente e piú evoluto, a volte con alterne fortune, ma d'altronde si sa che la strada della ricerca é spesso lunga ed impervia e sicuramente l'industria musicale, con le sue tempistiche legate al mercato, a volte non aiuta una piena espressione degli artisti. Ma quando Deadmau5 ha avuto la possibilità di esprimersi in pieno, e questo è successo diverse volte nel corso della sua carriera, ha realizzato dei veri "gioiellini", come sicuramente lo è questa The Veldt del 2012, un brano davvero solare ispirato da un  breve racconto dell'americano Ray Bradbury e affidato alle doti canore di Chris James, già noto per numerose collaborazioni con grandi nome dell'EDM come ad esempio David Guetta. Molto bello anche il video di animazione, anch'esso ispirato al racconto, che completa perfettamente questo brano con cui vi Auguro un Buon inizio di giornata! A domani amici di Sveglia Dance, ciao!

Let's continue this week of Dance Wakeup with one of my favorite artists, that let me rediscover my passion for Dance and Electronic music a decade ago, a passion that I had set aside for many years.... He is surely to be counted among the world's Top Producers and he is immediately recognizable for his hyper-technological mouse mask he uses during live shows ... I'm speaking of the Canadian Deadmau5 (pronounced deadmaus) of which we are listening today to his beautiful The Veldt!
As I said, I've been following Deadmau5 for many years, and I liked his stylistic change from a very minimal and rough Electro House sound to a research of a different and more sophisticated type of music, sometimes with alternate results, but all we know that the research path is often long and difficult, and certainly the music industry, with its timing for the market, sometimes does not help a full expression of the artists. But when Deadmau5 had the opportunity to express himself in full, and this has happened several times during his career, he has made real "jewels", as surely is this The Veldt of 2012, a really "sunny" song inspired by a short story by American writer Ray Bradbury and entrusted to Chris James's great talent, already known for numerous collaborations with big names of EDM such as e.g. David Guetta. Very nice also the animation video, also inspired by the tale, that perfectly completes this song with which I wish you a real good start to the day! See you tomorrow friends of Dance Wakeup! Bye!
