Grazie ancora Robert 🙏
Good morning friends ... Unfortunately today's Dance Wakeup doesn't have the usual positive charge because, as you probably may already know from the media, yesterday we missed a great protagonist of 90s Dance Music, the only 47 years-old Roberto Concina, also known with his stage name Robert Miles, a DJ and music producer who has marked a generation with his innovative mix of Ambient and Trance music, which for some time was almost considered a totally new genre, as it was successful and imitated by many of its colleagues.
I would not like to repeat here what many did in last hours, recalling his life, his career and his music... articles have been written that can tell you a lot more than I could in these few lines.
I just would just like to pay homage to him and to all those people who like him have devoted their life to musical passion and thanks to their passion have made our lifes even better: so thanks to Robert Miles, thanks to Stefano Mastrolitti and thanks to all the artists who with their departure inevitably left a vacuum in our lives.
I can only say goodbye to Robert Miles with the extended version of his first great hit Children, a song that sounds almost melancholic today but which, between 1995 and 1996, achieved a truly planetary success making millions of people dance... and I was among those. Thanks again Robert 🙏
