Buongiorno amici! Con la Sveglia Dance di questa mattina torniamo subito agli Anni 90, per muovere un pò il piede con la musica di un'artista molto bravo, un rapper dalle radici Africane che ha trovato nel sound Hip-House dei primi anni 90 il giusto posto dove esprimersi... Lui é Dr. Alban, di cui riascoltiamo oggi la sua mitica No Coke!

Artista di origini Nigeriane ma naturalizzato Svedese, il cui vero nome é Alban Uzoma Nwapa, fu un vero fenomeno dei primi anni 90, anni in cui diversi singoli come Hello Afrika, It's my Life e Sing Hallelujah, solo per menzionarne alcuni, ottennero un notevole successo grazie ad un sound Hip-House molto personale, che rendeva immediatamente riconoscibili i suoi brani.  La sua originalità stava anche in un certo impegno nella scrittura dei testi, con ad esempio dei richiami alla madrepatria nel suo primo singolo Hello Afrika, e con una netta posizione contro la droga in No Coke, un brano che sicuramente mi riporta a tanti bei ricordi di quel periodo e che spero vi faccia piacere ascoltare o riascoltare... Artist coming from Nigeria but nationalized Swedish, whose real name is Alban Uzoma Nwapa, was a true phenomenon of the early 90's, when several singles like Hello Afrika, It's my Life and Sing Hallelujah, just to name a few, gained a remarkable success thanks to a very personal Hip-House sound, which immediately made his tracks recognizable. His originality was also in a certain effort in lyrics writing, with e.g. referrals to the motherland in his first single Hello Afrika, and with a clear position against drugs in No Coke, a song that surely brings me back to so many beautiful memories of that period and I hope you will enjoy listening it again...
