Buongiorno amici! Continuiamo questa prima settimana di Settembre, con una Sveglia Dance musicalmente dai toni leggeri ed estivi (finché si può) tornando come sempre a fare una visita alla grande musica degli anni 90, ed anche oggi con un brano dalle evidenti contaminazioni Reggae, e non potrebbe essere altrimenti visto che l'artista di cui vi parlerò oggi proviene proprio dalla Giamaica... Ma bando alle ciance e ascoltiamoci Ini Kamoze con la sua più famosa hit Here Comes the Hotstepper!
Ini Kamoze (nome d'arte del cantante Jamaicano Cecil Campbell) é un'artista la cui carriera ebbe un buon iniziò nei primi anni 80, producendo ben 3 album nel solo 1984 (di genere Reggae e Dancehall) e un'ulteriore disco nel 1988.
Purtroppo a causa dello scarso successo dell' ultimo album, quest'artista subí una battuta d'arresto durata diversi anni, ma quando nel 1994 tornò sulle scene lo fece davvero alla grande, con un brano che diventò il suo più grande successo : Here Comes The Hotstepper!
Brano downtempo davvero azzeccato, con il suo sound un pò Ragga e un pò Hip-Hop che (ricordo bene) faceva correre la gente in pista, ottenne un grande successo in tutto il mondo, toccando anche il vertice della classifica negli Stati Uniti, e non é cosa da tutti.
Come per tanti altri brani degli Anni 90, vi ripropongo con piacere questo brano e spero davvero che possa essere un buon inizio per la vostra giornata!

Let's continue this first September week of Dance Wakeup again with some light and summery music, returning as often we do, to visit some great hits from the 90's, and even today with a song having some clear Reggae contaminations, and it could not be otherwise as the artist I'm going to talk about today is from Jamaica ... But bidding on the cramp and let's go listen to Ini Kamoze with his most famous hit Here Comes the Hotstepper!
Ini Kamoze (stage name of Jamaican singer Cecil Campbell) is an artist whose career began in the early 1980s, with a good start that led him to produce three albums in 1984 only (of Reggae and Dancehall music) and another album in 1988.
Unfortunately, because of the low success of the last album, this artist suffered a quite long period of inactivity, but when in 1994 he returned "on the road" he did it in a great way, with a song that became his greatest hit ever: Here Comes The Hotstepper!
This inspired downtempo track, with its sound who blends a little bit of Ragga and a little bit of Hip-Hop, was a really "dancefloor filler" and (I remember this well) made literally ran the people on the dancefloor, but also got a great success all over the world touching the top of the standings in the US Charts, and that's not for all!
As with so many other songs from the 90's, I'm glad to listen again this song with you, and I really hope it will make your day go better!
